With over 30 years of engineering experience, carrying out maintenance based on our calendar or time-based interventions, we know this forms the basis of many companies 'planned maintenance'. We have in-depth knowledge of CMMS systems, including SAP planned maintenance, Agility, Mainsaver and Pirana, knowing how to program, operate and report.
The simplest form of time-based maintenance is cleaning and lubricating. Operators can be shown (trained) to carry out these tasks which will improve plant performance quickly. Once the program of work is being followed routinely, machine differences will start to be noticed, maybe through simple measurement. This can start to form the next level of intervention. Once the measurement reaches a set tolerated measurement, parts can be changed to maintain performance, quality and safety (of both the asset and colleagues involved in the operation). If the equipment becomes reliable (stable outputs of saleable quality, no waste), all parts of the business can start to realise its potential, buyers can set up stable contracts with suppliers, accounts can stabilise costs and income, operations can control outputs, engineers can control engineering standards and this will allow the business to grow through a secure business development plan, funded by a sound asset base.
At Peter Hill Engineering Services Limited, we can support all levels of machine care and maintenance, contributing to the stabilisation and control of the production process. The organisation of fixed maintenance plans and the development of plans to support safety, quality and delivery can allow a process we will be very glad to share.
